The teabag takeover of the Maine GOP is only one of the embarrassing stories coming from that state. A Friday visit by teabaggers to Portland's King Middle School has revealed the lunacy of at least some of that group.
The once noble Republican party is being badly diminished by these extreme wingers. One has to wonder if the true conservatives will ever be able to regain their party.

The GOP as represented by the Tea Party makes it look as if Randroids and bible thumpers have somehow wound up on the same side. This can't last forever, and the eventual (metaphorical) explosion should be spectacular.
