Of course it's the left's fault...

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Sarah Palin is reported to have said, "I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way. I am just hoping Mrs Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her."

Well... if that is true she had better lower her expectations, because it ain't gonna happen... and it all the fault of the left.

At least that is what Rush is saying. Limbaugh et al have gone bonkers over Margaret Thatcher's disinclination to meet Caribou Barbie, and somehow or another twist it to mean something other than that which is plainly obvious... the darling of the Tea Party is simply not worthy of an audience with the Iron Lady.

The money quote from a Thatcher associate...

"Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts."

When a sane and reasonable conservative finally has enough sense to dismiss the insanity of the Tea Party, wingnut puppets go apologetic... blames everyone except the good Lady, and defend an obviously unqualified and borderline ignorant would-be candidate. What more do you need to know about the current state of the Republican party? If fools like this find a way to float to the top we can kiss the so-called "American Exceptionalism" goodbye.

There is a lesson here to be learned... especially by the media. But for the sake of this country and for good comedy, I hope the Barbie runs.
