Do you think you could?

The quote from Jesse Ventura is now Internet legend.
"You give me a waterboard, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders."

Many of the conservative bloggers and pundits have rushed to Dick's rescue, all saying the same thing Dick & Company have said all along; that waterboarding isn't all that bad.

Judging by the fact that this country has executed some folks who practiced that particular little "enhanced interrogation" technique on Americans, I'd have to say that Cheney's interpretation is rather novel.
Now comes this little ditty, from Playboy of all places.

This is not something I would attempt, but I would challenge those defending Cheney & Company to give it a run. Any takers?

Interesting that the guy pouring the water doesn't think it's torture. My first reaction is to say that all the folks who allowed it should have to experience it - but then I would be evil too. No one should be subjected to such treatment. It is just wrong.

Just more of the old, It's not torture when we do it hypocrisy. Vice President Cheney is one of the reasons we have the Bill of Rights. Where would he draw the line in using this on anybody, including American citizens?

America will be great so long as she is good...three people? If the U.S has supposedly only used this on three people how in the hell can this national liability have been tolerated?

It's torture. No doubt. Torture is prohibited by the Constitution. And it makes us, if not the bad guys, then certainly not the good ones.
