I read earlier this week that when Tony Blair's memoir came out, pranksters moved copies to various sections of bookstores, including fantasy, science fiction and crime. One of the British papers commented they expected the same would happen with the Bush effort- though I haven't seen any reports of it happening.

Yet.

Interesting statements in some of them, it'll be interesting to see what history says...

My fondness for the editorial cartoonists is their ability to often strip an issue to the heart. As Lochwood points out, a couple of these address the shelving of the Bush memoirs. One directly alludes that it should be in fiction while the other indicates that fiction would be the location of choice for a liberal librarian.

It really is a rather poorly written book and isn't a very good representation of his years in the White House, but if we didn't put Clinton's My Life in fiction, then Decision Points doesn't deserve it either. Both were ghost written and both are exaggerated swagger.

The cartoonists dealt with Clinton's in much the same way they are dealing with the Bush tome.
